What this is

This policy explains what data SKIRA collects through skira.app, how it's used, who it's shared with, and what control you have over it.

SKIRA is a closed beta product. Right now, this site collects an email address (and a couple of optional fields) from people requesting beta access. The deployed site also includes a non-functional login page and runs error monitoring (Sentry) on every page. Both are described in detail below. When the product launches, this policy will need to expand to cover the data SKIRA processes from your engineering tools. We will update this document and notify anyone on the beta waitlist by email before any expansion takes effect.

What we collect

Through this site:

  • Your email address when you request beta access.
  • Optional: your team size and primary project management tool, if you choose to share them when requesting access.
  • Aggregated, cookieless analytics about page visits, served by Vercel Web Analytics. No personal identifiers.
  • Error reports from your browser if something breaks on the site. When a JavaScript error occurs, our error monitoring service (Sentry) receives the error type, a stack trace, the page URL, and technical metadata about your browser. We have configured Sentry to scrub IP addresses before they are stored.
  • A bot challenge when you submit the beta access form. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates whether the submission is from a human or an automated script. Turnstile processes basic browser and connection metadata to make this determination. It is configured to use Cloudflare's privacy-respecting challenge modes (no behavioral fingerprinting, no third-party tracking).

We don't use tracking cookies on this site. We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party advertising or marketing trackers.

When the product launches (documented here for transparency, not currently active): SKIRA will process data from your connected engineering tools to generate stakeholder updates and intelligence views. The specifics of what's processed, how it's stored, and how long it's retained will be documented in this policy before any customer data is collected.

How we use what we collect

The email address and optional fields you submit are used to:

  • Manage the beta waitlist and prioritize beta access
  • Send you updates about the beta launch and product progress
  • Reply to you if you ask us questions

Error reports are used to diagnose and fix bugs in the site. They are not used for any other purpose.

Analytics are used to understand aggregate site traffic patterns. They are not tied to individual visitors.

We don't sell your email. We don't trade lists. We don't add you to marketing sequences without your explicit consent.

Who we share it with

SKIRA uses a small number of third-party services to operate. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:

  • Loops (email service): receives your email and any optional fields you submit, for managing the beta waitlist and product communication.
  • Cloudflare (DNS, bot protection, email routing): provides DNS for skira.app, runs the Turnstile bot challenge on the beta form, and routes inbound email. Cloudflare does not receive your email address from the form.
  • Vercel (hosting, CDN, analytics): serves the website and provides aggregated, cookieless page analytics. Does not store form submissions or user data.
  • Sentry (error monitoring): receives JavaScript error events from your browser when something breaks, along with technical context such as browser type, page URL, and stack trace. Configured to scrub IP addresses before storage.
  • Supabase (database): currently configured and connected to support the deployed login page infrastructure. Not actively storing customer data, since the product is not yet live. Will store account data and synthesized intelligence when the product launches.
  • Anthropic (LLM provider): infrastructure connected; not currently receiving any data. Will process anonymized engineering data to generate narratives when the product launches.
  • Langfuse (LLM observability): infrastructure connected; not currently receiving any data. Will receive anonymized inference traces when the product launches.

If we ever add or change these processors, we'll update this list.

We don't share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other party not listed above.

How long we keep it

  • Confirmed email and optional form fields: retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Pending email addresses (submitted via the beta form but not yet confirmed via the double-opt-in link): retained for up to 30 days. If the address is not confirmed within 30 days, it is deleted.
  • Analytics: cookieless and aggregate-only via Vercel Web Analytics. The privacy-friendly identifier used to de-duplicate visits is discarded within 24 hours; only aggregate page-visit counts are retained.
  • Error reports: 30 days, then automatically purged. (SKIRA is on the Sentry free tier; if we upgrade to a paid plan, this will become 90 days and we will update this policy.)

When the product launches, retention policies for engineering tool data will be documented in this section.

Your rights, especially under GDPR

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, and equivalent privacy frameworks elsewhere, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it's wrong.
  • Delete it (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Object to specific uses of it.
  • Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@skira.app or kyle@skira.app. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're in the EU or UK and you believe we've violated your privacy rights, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

This site does not currently use tracking cookies.

If we add cookies in the future (for example, when product login launches), we'll update this section and provide a consent mechanism before any cookie is placed on your device.

Children's privacy

SKIRA is built for working engineering managers. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, email hello@skira.app and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes (particularly when the product launches and starts processing engineering tool data), we'll notify everyone on the beta waitlist by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
